Accessibility

We want See Like Animals to work for everyone. Our target is WCAG 2.2 level AA: a target, not a claim of conformance.

What we check

• Every image on the site has a text alternative and fixed dimensions (an automated test on every build).
• Every page has one main heading, a skip link and breadcrumbs (automated test).
• Sample pages score at least 95 in the Lighthouse accessibility audit (automated on every release).
• Light and dark themes, following your system setting or the theme button in the footer.

Known limits

• The animal-vision images are visual by nature. Each species page describes in text what changes (colour, sharpness, field of view, night vision and motion), with the values.
• A reduced-motion setting and a manual keyboard review of the tool are still in progress.

Last checked: 2026-10-01, by self-assessment with automated tests. This statement is voluntary.
