Animal eye chart: how far down can a cat read?
Stand back until you can just read the bottom line, then pick an animal: the chart blurs to its eyes. A cat and a dog both read down to line 2. Print it for a classroom or a vet's waiting room.

How does the animal eye chart work?
You set the scale: step back until the bottom line is just readable. Each animal's chart is then blurred by how much less detail its eyes pick up than yours, so the lines it could not read melt away.
Can a cat read an eye chart?
Not like you. The cat sees about 7.2 times less detail than you. On this chart a cat reads down to line 2.
What about animals with sharper eyes than mine?
A screen cannot look sharper than your own eyes allow, so their chart stays crisp. They could read lines smaller than the bottom one.
