Animal vision kiosk for zoos and museums
Let visitors see your animals the way the animals see. A touch-screen kiosk for your own screens: pick an animal, slide the reveal, scan the QR code to take it home. Built from published eye studies, it runs on the device and works offline.

What your venue gets
- A kiosk that runs in a current browser on your own touch screen, full screen, no install.
- Species packs per exhibit, for example "Night house" or "Reptile house": up to 24 animals from 162,254 species, with your own display names and your own photos (kept on the device).
- An attract loop when nobody is using it, and a reset after 90 seconds (you choose the time).
- A QR code for each animal that opens its page on the visitor's phone. Plain links without tracking parameters, and no cookies.
- Screenshots for your interpretation panels, with the credit "See Like Animals (simulation)".
Spec sheet
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Hardware | Any touch screen with a current Chrome, Edge or Safari. WebGL2 is used when present; a slower fallback runs without it. |
| Offline | After one online setup the kiosk keeps working without a network. The licence is checked when the screen is online. |
| Updates | New species and fixes arrive when the screen is online; nothing to install. |
| Visitors' data | None. The camera is off by default; if you turn it on, an on-screen notice is shown and the picture stays on the screen until the reset. |
| Accessibility | Large controls, a large-text mode, text that says what changed, no sound needed, and slow motion that stops when the device asks for reduced motion. No flashing. |
| Licence | Per site, 12 months, price on request. Venue terms |
Where the pictures come from
Every picture is a simulation built from published eye measurements: colour cells, sharpness, field of view, night vision and motion. The catalogue holds 162,254 species; 31,189 have measured values, the rest are estimated from related animals and labelled that way on their science pages. How it works ยท Sources
For exhibit design firms
- An integrator licence lets an exhibit design firm install and maintain the kiosk at a named client site, per installed site per year.
- The firm resells the venue licence; the client venue becomes the licensee under the venue terms.
- The kiosk frame may carry the client's branding. The "simulation" note and the source credit stay; data and science pages are not white-labelled.
Venue licence terms
- A venue licence covers one zoo, aquarium, museum or science-centre site: the kiosk on the screens named in the agreement at that site, shown to the public.
- It allows screenshots in on-site interpretation panels with the credit "See Like Animals (simulation)". The word "simulation" must stay next to every render.
- It lasts 12 months from issue and does not renew automatically. It is bought for professional use: no refund once issued unless it does not work and we cannot fix it.
- No resale. No use in paid advertising without our written consent.
- The kiosk camera is off by default. If the venue turns it on, the venue shows the on-screen notice; images are processed on the device and never uploaded.
- The licence covers the rendered experience, not the dataset.
